ONC National successfully completed an IDF enhancement project to optimize the network infrastructure. We replaced the existing patch panel with a new, more robust 24-port Cat6 panel housed within a secure 12U wall mount rack equipped with a fan for optimal cooling. A reliable 24-port PoE TP-Link switch was installed to ensure efficient power and data transmission for connected devices. Two rack shelves were added to keep the equipment organized, and existing cabling was meticulously terminated on the new patch panel within the rack. We thoroughly tested and labeled all connections for clear identification during future maintenance or troubleshooting. Additionally, a mix of 1-foot and 6-inch Cat6 patch cords were installed to optimize cable management and minimize clutter within the rack.
