Senior Estimator

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in our project development and execution, responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality low voltage telecommunication solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of Divisions 26, 27, and 28 specifications and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation and Budgeting

· Conduct comprehensive reviews of project plans, specifications, and requirements related to Low Voltage Telecommunications (i.e., Division 26, 27, 28).

· Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for labor, materials, and equipment based on project scope.

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and constraints.

Bid Proposal Development

· Develop and present competitive bid proposals to customers, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations.

· Analyze and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.

Risk Analysis

· Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project execution and develop strategies to mitigate them.

· Work closely with the project team to anticipate and address unforeseen challenges during the estimation process.

Collaboration

· Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.

· Foster positive working relationships with customers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Cost Control

· Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to the project management team in controlling and optimizing costs throughout the project lifecycle.

· Continuously seek opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven experience as an Estimator in the Low Voltage Telecommunications field, with expertise in Divisions 26, 27, and 28.

· In-depth knowledge of low voltage systems, cabling, and telecommunications infrastructure.

· Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, Premiere, etc.….)

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

· Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and standards.
